I'm sending this to the list in hopes of heading off more e-mails like this.

Please don't name names, saying the virus comes from this person or that. You are likely wrong as these worms always forge the from header. If you think you know the real sender, from delving deep into the "Received:" headers, then you should give the evidence (the full headers) and not leave us assuming you are just looking at the forged "From" line.

Best yet is to not talk about them on the list at all. If anyone can think of a reason to talk about it on the list, let me know (privately), cuz I can't think of one. And don't tell me it's to remind people to "be careful" - anyone who can find the On button on a computer knows that by now. There are *always* virii going around, and if we get just one announcement for each one we'll become the Classic Virus Rendezvous.

A little grumpy about the off-topic noise, and a bit sheepish about adding to it...
