A friend has decided to part out one of his old bikes and has asked me to help him out. I promise that no historically-important bikes were harmed in this process. Prices do not include shipping. I prefer payment by Paypal, but personal check or M.O. will work. I have tried to be as clear and objective as possible in my descriptions, but if you buy and you no like, I take it back, less shipping. All items will be cleaned before you get ‘em. Frameset: Marinoni Special, 55 cm ST (c-to-c), 55 cm TT, 73 deg STA. Columbus SL tubing, investment cast throughout, full braze-ons including ft der, 2 bottles, pump peg, chain hanger. Deep blue w/ white decals, chromed ¾ chainstays, chromed Campy dropouts, chromed ft der B/O. Takes 126.5 hub, short reach / recessed brakes, Italian HS and BB, 27.2 mm post. This frame was purchased new by the current owner in 1990, raced one season and retired to light duty. My inspection reveals: straight, no dents, no cracks. Paint is in good condition (this means neither “very good,” nor “poor”). No serious rust, but some peppering on chrome. Steerer cut for SR. Cleaned, waxed and Frame-Savered. Hand made with Italian pride in Canada. Asking $275 plus shipping.

Crankset: Suntour Superbe Pro, 172.5 mm arms in VG to exc. condition, 53t Sugino 75 ring in exc. condition, 42t Ultegra ring is new. Asking $60.

Derailleur set: Suntour Superbe Pro, includes rr der, B/O ft der. and B/O shifters. Moderate corrosion on chromed hardware of shifters and ft der, scrape on outer body of rear. Excellent mechanically, so-so cosmetically. This is a late version of the Superbe pro, with a shifter that will click over 6 or 7 Suntour cogs or friction over anything. Asking $55.

Brakeset: Suntour Superbe Pro, the funky last-generation with the hidden coil spring. Short reach, recessed, aero. Includes levers and NOS silver SLR cables. Levers have very light scratches, no crash damage, dry hoods. Calipers are nice, w/ good pads, very clean alloy, very slight peppering of some chrome fittings. Made by Dia Compe. Asking $60.

Seatpost: Suntour XC Pro (nearly identical to Superbe Pro). 27.2 mm. Cut down to 205 mm from seat rail to end. The bottom 65 mm shows light scarring from insertion. Asking $20.

Freewheel and chain: Suntour Alpha 7-speed freewheel in 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, along with the Superbe chain with which it was used. Good, usable condition, some corrosion to chain, FW shows minimal wear. Asking $20.

Hubset: Campagnolo Chorus, ISO threading, 32-hole, 126.5 O.L.D. Includes correct QRs. These hubs were built once as 3x wheelset and ridden very, very little. Really nice condition. Asking $50.

Stem: Cinelli XA, 120mm. Slight scratching on front, very minor scratching up to 15mm above limit line, chipped chrome on binder, include 4 colorful inserts. Asking $15.

And a few things of my own… Admittedly, some item prices reflect mixed feels about selling.

Fork: Daccordi, full chrome, 205 mm steerer w/ 57 mm of threads. Nice 1980’s Italian fork w/ semi-sloping investment-cast crown. NOS. Asking $85.

Pedals: Campagnolo C-Record platform. Complete with the largest size of (proprietary) alloy clips, white Campy straps, buttons, and all the correct hardware. No packaging. These look like they were never ridden, but the pedal bodies are lightly nicked from shopwear. Asking $75

Toestraps: Campy C-record, white (slightly yellowed) w/ blue logo, includes buttons. NOS. Asking $25.

Toestraps: Binda, brown. NOS. Asking $15

Toeclips: Christophe Special XL. Used, good condition. Asking $8.

Brake levers: Campagnolo Cobalto. These are the earliest Cobaltos, Campy’s first production Aero lever. They have a longer reach and a more elegant curve than the later Cobaltos. These levers also came with the recalled fist-gen Deltas. Cables can run aero or conventional. Includes NOS hoods, NOS pearl white Campy cables, and the bits to convert to aero. Some light surface scratching to lever handles. I’m asking $90 for these.

Brakeset: Winnemann Carrera. This is the nicest modern (80’s) sidepull I’ve seen from Winnemann, other than the one with the knurled alloy adjuster. This one has the molded plastic QR on the upper arm. Includes “drilled” levers w/ black hoods. VGC. Asking $60.
