It's getting time to buy Mitzi a new set of panniers and she's really taken with the look of the Carradice and Berthoud bags. I have a Carradice lowsaddle longflap and like the waxed cotton much better than the cordura nylon of my current Jandd and Madden bags. Has anyone on the list used these kinds of bags for serious touring? How well do they stand up to abuse and weeks of pouring rain? How's the mounting hardware on these bags?
