Fred suggested: You can soemtimes remove varnish and water slide decals with tape. You take a piece of tape, rub it onto the decal and them lift. As with many things, I start with the "mildest" form and progress to more drastic measures: i.e. start with Scotch tape, then try masking tape and then duct tape. The duct tape seems to remove most anything, sometimes including little flecks of paint, so use caution and go slowly. Cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia _________________

There is an even milder step that seems to be removing the decals quite well on my Hetchins: A good hard stare. :)

Do the decals just fly off other pampered Southend era Hetchins too? This bike has never even seen a rainy day.
