Campy cutting/machine tools are made by Cobra. The only difference is that Campy has certain specifications that Cobra follows when Cobra makes the part that bears the name "Campagnolo". Typically, the Campy specification difference comes down to a particular finish applied to the part, but in certain instances the "Campagnolo" part will differ from the equivalent stock Cobra part with some design changes as well. So when you buy the Cobra" cutters, you are getting the same quality machining/steel as with the "Campagnolo" cutters. The "Cobra" cutters that are made to fit Campagnolo tools are essentially the same exact cutter that Cobra makes that actually bear the name "Campagnolo", but much less expensive.

One of the stock Cobra cutters that differs from the "Campagnolo" branded one is the headtube facer/reamer. I had order these directly from Cobra, and was somewhat disappointed when I saw that stock Cobra brand did not incorporate the teeth that cut the slight chamfer on the inside of the headtube. Up to this point, all the other stock Cobra stuff I had received was indistinguishable from the Cobra "Campagnolo" branded stuff. When I questioned them about this, they said that it was proprietary for Campy. However, they would sell me the Campy style if I was willing to buy 25 or more...........those whores. :-)
