I have a pair of Synrco (or was that Synchro?) 2 levers on one of my bikes. 6 speed indexing. It does have the friction option (in fact it is usually run this way because the indexing is still pretty poor). You pull out and twist the large knurled knob on the outside to switch between the two modes.
