Temporarily in my possession, is a friend's 25" Ron Cooper frame and fork. No
decals but the paint looks like it could be original. This is based in part
on recently seeing Bill Clausen's Red Cooper and the color was identical.
It's a racing, not touring frame. The fork blade reinforcement has a full
suite of playing card cut outs, flat top crown. To the Cooper discussion, I
will add that the only English bike I had that I really LOVED, was a Ron
track bike. It was stiff enough for me (meaning stiffer than the average
English bike) but not harsh. Alas, stolen.
Anyhow, my friend wants $350 (maybe a reasonable offer?) for the frame set.
No pix at the moment, but if someone is seriously interested I'll borrow a
camera. The frame is NICE!
