I have owned (and ridden!!) several of Bianchi's "better" models (70's and 80's) and still have a mid '90's (OT, I know so shhhh!!) Cyclo Cross RC bike (lugged - Zero Uno). I have always been very happy with how they went down the road (and up the hills). In fact, my favorite bike for a couple of years was a late 70's Campione D'Italia. Whenever I just wanted to go out for short ride of an hour or so, I would always take it over all others.

However, none of the Bianchis appear near the equal of my '86 Ron Cooper as far as quality of construction. The true test, of course, will be in the ride, but that will have to wait until spring I'm afraid!!!!!
