I think you and Joe are discussing two different cranks. I don't know about the ones on ebay, but as to Topline, it is way outside the CR time period; these were sold in the mid-90s. Note that the info page you link to has a 1997 copyright and they tout these cranks as being a new product.

I'm guessing their intro was about '94 or so. My wife (135 lbs.) got a set of Topline triple cranks for her new road bike in summer of 1995 and I recall them being a relatively new product at that time. Their light weight and handsome appearance were most appealing.

Bad decision on our part, we should have waited to see how they held up for other users over time. When my wife's broke in 1998 or thereabouts after less than 15k miles of use, we tried to get warranty replacement for an obvious design flaw (not enough metal in places), I discovered the company had gone under. Probably tough to stay in business when you have to give away lots of free cranks after the initial sale. ;-)
