If someone has a run of Bicycling! magazines from c. 1974-75 they can go through, there was a road test article on them during that time period.
The article described what I remember as a pearl white bike. It had heart- shaped cutouts in the lugs, filled in with red. The bike, completely equipped with Vicenza's finest, sold for $750 at the time. I remember this stuff because of a family meeting in which my mother announced she was returning to graduate school; there would be sacrifices, and what would I like as a reward after it was all done? My answer, of course, was "a DeRosa."
Never got it, and now I suppose that's just as well ... I seem to have a lot of accidents on Italian bikes ... ;>)
