Speaking of Herse a la Japanese, coming up near my location there is the annual gathering of Herse enthusiasts and their machines. I think it's next month. Last year, during the party when everyone was sufficiently intoxicated and getting wild (Nihon-jin style), I snuck in and fondled the tubes. Ooh baby, what a gorgeous track racer! I might try and get photos this year, probably dressed as a waiter. Anyone interested? Ebay 'outers' better ask me nice.
