At the risk of venturing off topic, I was curious about the relationship of modern Alesa rims to the Weinmann company. Alesa, distributed through Rigida, seems to be related to the old Weinmann company from what little information I've been able to find. Can anybody elaborate? My searches for Alesa rims seem to get a lot of hits for dinky little hoops for recumbants and folders and also MTB rims. I did notice Alesa offers some polished silver rims in 700c which might be good for a vintage rider although I've never seen any up close and personal. Ok, sorry if this is OT, but always interested in what happened or is happening to the classic companies these days.
