Hi Marc,

According to my selle san marco 2001 catalog, it says the rolls saddle was first offered in 1982. I've been a long time rolls rider, and have about 6 or 8 examples from over the years. Due to the date code stamped into the plastic shell, they are easy to compare.

Interestingly, from the '84 example I have to the brand new manufactured in 2002 model, they are identical in construction, except the '02 has copper-chrome coloured rails, instead of silver-chrome for the '84. Not many products have remained virtually unchanged for 18 years in the bike biz!

When did the Sella San Marco Rolls saddle become available? My tentative guess is 84/85 but I'm not sure.
