Hope all you list members can be patient with more Masi questions. Last spring I accquired a very nice California Masi G.C. The owner(not original)said he thought it was a '74 frame, since resprayed by Jim Allen. Can ya'll confirm or dispute this info? The B.B. downtube tab is stamped 990 above the oval cutout, below cutout is stamped MC 61. There are some faint stampings on the main B.B. body, to the right of the cutout M.(possibly LC,or 48),hard to tell. The only braze-ons are cable guides on top of B.B. &set of waterbottle bosses on downtube. I hope to build it up this winter,& would like to use as much authentic componentry as possible. I assume age appropriate Campy stuff would be O.K. Not sure about saddle or rims. I've gleaned somewhere that TTT bars & stem is more correct than Cinelli. I've got a NOS Everest oro chain & freewheel (14-23). Would it matter about using NR or SR Campy components? I apologise for long-winded post. Greg Brooks,Ridgetop,TN
