"After looking carefully at the Velo-Retro reprint of Campagnolo catalogs, I still can't figure out when exactly the Record front derailleur *without* the cable-stop, was introduced. Anybody here have some notion of when it was introduced? Between 1963 and 1970, seems like, but that's the best I can do, right now. I'd like a bit more precision than that."

Here is something between "data" and "anecdote:" My '65 Sears Ted Williams Sport Racing has the original Record front with cable stop. Same with my '65 Paramount, but the authenticity trail is a bit (!) softer, since I built it up from frameset in 75.
