I've heard that only the Record rings came in 41T and that SR went down only to 42T. On the other hand I also once heard mention of an "ultra-rare" 41T SR ring. Allegedly there were some made for the T.I. Raleigh squad. I have trouble swallowing that one, but in any case, has anyone ever seen a 41T SR ring?

On a related subject, I've heard that there are some Record arms that were "factory" modified by having a bit of material machined off of the inboard face of the outer portion of the spider arm to give extra chain clearence when using the 41T rings. Anyone ever seen one? It suppose it would have been machined then anodized, so all the andoizing would be intact if it were "factory."

Roy, one should remember their friendly neighbors just below the Mason-Dixon line who have such items in those sizes. Larry Black 'just below the line' in Maryland
