A few days ago, I wrote that I wanted to sell the following:

AN APPROXIMATELY 1952 VINTAGE EMILIO BOZZI CATALOGUE. BOZZI OWNED THE LEGNANO, WOLSIT AND PERLA BRANDS UP UNTIL HIS UNTIMELY ASSASINATION AT THE HANDS OF THE RED BRIGADES (THANKS FOR THE INFO DALE!) IN THE 70'S. UPON HIS DEATH, HIS FAMILY RETREATED FROM THE BIKE BUSINESS AND SOLD THE LEGNANO AND WOLSIT BRANDS TO BIANCHI. AT THE TIME THE CATALOGUE WAS PRINTED, EMILIO BOZZI WERE ALSO ONE OF THE BIGGEST COMPONENT DISTRIBUTORS IN THE COUNTRY. THE CATALOGUE IS 336 PAGES LONG AND LISTS EVERY SINGLE COMPONENT AND SPARE PART THAT WAS THEN SOLD. IT HAS ABOUT 20 COLOUR PAGES DEDICATED TO THE 3 BIKE BRANDS AND THEIR PRODUCTS AND THEN THE REST ARE ALL ILLUSTRATIONS OF EVERY IMAGINABLE COMPONENT. THE ILLUSTRATIONS ARE INCREDIBLY DETAILED DESCRIBING EVERY MINIMAL PART. OF SPECIAL INTEREST TO THE CR LIST, IT HAS FULL ILUSTRATIONS OF THE CAMBIO CORSA, PARIS-ROUBAIX, SIMPLEX TOUR DE FRANCE AND CAMPIONE DEL MONDO. IT IS IN VERY VERY GOOD SHAPE. FOR THIS CATALOGUE.

I received three offers for the catalogue, one for close to my asking price, a second for quite a bit less and a third one which I simply could not refuse. Chuck Schmidt has come up with a way for me to cover my immediate expenses on the purchase of the catalogue and also make all of the illustrations and information available to everybody. In fact, Chuck will shortly set out preparing a reprint of the catalogue, with a proceed-sharing formula. Based upon Chuck's and my own calculations, it might take 10 years for me to actually come out with the same amount of money as was included by the best cash offer, but now this information is available to all 40's and 50's Italian bike lovers. Even Chuck was surprised of all the information contained in the catalogue! This really is a great item; I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed if you get a copy.

PC disclosure: If enough of you purchase a reprint from Chuck now, maybe I won't need to wait 10 years to receive the amount of money offered to me for an outright sale of the catalogue! So, in a way, I will benefit from any sales made by Chuck.

Another thing that I will benefit from is the ebay auctions that I have running for some more of the Columbus (http://ebay.com/<blah>
