Could someone please give me information on Wentworth threading and sizing (I don't know that there was a different size to bolt heads and such, I guess)? Was there a particular era when Wentworth threading was popular, was it used exclusively on English bikes or were there other bikes outside of England that used it, and were there specific bikes during a specific time period that used the threading? Is there a way, other than using a thread gauge (I have one, but don't how to use it properly), of determining whether a bike has Wentworth threading? And finally should one have a bike with Wentworth threading, would screwing in English threaded items mess everything up, or do they require being retapped?
