Dennis,
SAKAE is pronoun, name of family, person or place in Japanese. If you look RINGYO in Chinese character, I think it translate "round/circle" and "industry" which I can trandslate as "wheel"-thing- manufactuer. For instance, a Japanese word "Shya-RIN" spells out as "vehicle wheel" or wheel assembly including huh, rim, and tire.
I have a bike made by Jouto-Ringyo (Toei's dealer) means, East side of Castle Bicycle Industry.
Shimano is a pronoun, but character shows as Island-field, Maeda is Front-garden. They do not means anything.
KEN TODA, High Point, NC, TODA is Door-Garden??????
