Sakae Ringyo is the full name of the company that makes/markets SR brand cranks, bbs, handlebars, stems, etc (in the on-topic era), later merged with SunTour and making off-topic stuff today.

I don't think they were related to any company that made furniture. I also don't think they made or sold frames in the on-topic era, though I don't know that for a fact. Phil Brown might know, though. They did offer aluminum bonded off-topic frames in the late '80s, a spillover from the bonding work they did on even more off-topic cheapo ATB suspension forks.

As Ken pointed out, there are a bunch of "xxxxx Ringyo" corporate names in the Japanese bike biz, SR and Joto Ringyo being the two that come quickest to mind.
