Over the last few months, I have seen a number of Cambio Corsa geared examples of lesser known Italian bike brands sell for $1500 plus. I do believe this to be a fair price for such a bike as long as it is complete and not in need of a total restoration to be functional. For 'big name' bikes like Bianchi and Legnano, there would obviously be an additional value, with fully 'preserved' examples of these 'big name' brands being worth the most. Given the relative scarcity of the Paris-Roubaix gear mechanism when compared to the Corsa and its own earned racing pedigree, I would value it slightly higher than a similar brand Corsa equipped bike.

Imagine my surprise then that the recent ebay auction for the Bianchi Paris-Roubaix http://ebay.com/<blah>

Any comments?
