It is certainly a measure of the passion of some of the CR group's members that one is prepared to optimistically wait for a issue of a DeRosa that may again meet artistic objectivity. Having looked closely at a large assemblage of their current models at a recent bike show, if they don't come up with something with a degree of 'vintage' soon, it will be a long long road 'back'. At the same show, Colnago had one lugged frame with gold plated 50th anniversary components. I believe it had some modern parts in the mix as well, and was tied up on the wall as a 'show' model. I received the distinct impression that their heart wasn't really in it. Are these manufacturers spending so much effort looking over their shoulders at each other that they aren't watching where they are going?
