Just forget the text and titles of auctions of this seller! It's pure nonsense. He often has very nice items at the german eBay, the images are good and I've never heard of problems buying something from him but he has no knowledge about vintage bicycles and parts. I've followed his auctions with increasing astonishment for quite some time. When he offered his "only three exist" delta prototypes and Campagnolo down tube shifters from 1930-40(!!!) (item=1581208702) I contacted him to tell him he should be a bit more careful with his descriptions. He responded immedeately and very friendly and admitted that he is no expert (said, he has been told "only three exist" by the guy who sold him the deltas) and promised to be more honest but look at his "Chorus" brakes (item=1973344874) or "1983 Super Record" pedals (item=1975682168) The Record derailleur is of cours not from 1962 and the Cinelli frame looks like a Cinelli Laser from the 80s. Carsten Rehbein sold one recently.

Again, just forget the text, look at the pictures and decide yourself if you want to deal with him.

I posted this as 1964, but it is listed as 1962. Chuck's timeline indicates to me that 1963 was earliest Record rear derailleur, but I'm sure someone will give the "correct" info. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL

Anyone care to translate the copy on this eBay ad? The web translators mangle it too badly to be understood.
