It is funny that you ask about Hampsten, as he is highlighted in the latest issue of the Italian magazine cicloturismo. The article describes how his tour company Cinghiale (wild boar) is taking American cyclotourists to Italy. In the tour described, he took them to participate in l'eroica. He is therefore an ideal inspiration for youngsters getting involved in the sport. In the same issue, they also go on to dedscribe the running of the 2002 eroica and some of the people taking part.
