They just were not very available or distributed in the USA. Extremely obscure and rare..No "low end" training quality tires either so even less likely to be introduced by importers. So many USA folk have never heard of or seen them.

Now, I understand that Mssr. Dugast's enterprise is directly derived from the Dordoigne works. Can anyone confirm? They do or did have a similar look, less "refined" and more handmade looking than mainstream Pirellis, Vittorias and Clement of the "old days" when they were made in Italia.
