The stories of "Chairman" Bill's rides in Italy (elsewhere on the site) are also interesting. He even mentions Italian builders typically sizing bigger frames for riders so they can get the stems a bit higher... - must be talking about the CR timeframe, not now in this day of ultra compact, nose on the front wheel race frames.
