I think she might be up for it later, maybe not this Spring.... She is still having a rough time. Mike also was a loyal lieutenant, so I think naming it in his honor is most logical.

Ho w about "The Michael Richardson Memorial Vintage Bicycle Award" or similar...?

Re: nominees, I think Mike Kone would my choice for first guy inducted as he certainly preceded and inspired me with his newsletter and enthusiasm. The VCC as an organization and Hilary Stone also are important. Frank Berto and Rob Vander Plas are on my "top picks" list too.. Then there is Gabe Konrad and Chuck Schmidt... Oh gosh, I bet I am momentarily forgetting folks!

The "Hall of Fame" concept has a few problems. It implies that it has to reside somewhere and that is difficult. Plus the word "Fame" is a misfit here as many most of these folks have no interest or realized fame but instead they have worked quietly to pursue their interest in old bikes inspired by their love of the bikes.

I can imagine maybe a Cup or trophy or something ....with a engraved plate attached, adding each new recipient's name as they are elected... It could be held by the most recent inductee to be returned a month or so before the next Cirque in preparation of the next inductee ceremony.
