Hi CR guests of Dale:
    Regarding cottered aluminum cranks from the early years;I have an Ohrt of San Francisco French sport bike with a three speed Simplex TdF drivetrain where the single chainwheel is on a five screw aluminum cottered crank called "Legedur".
    Legedur can be taken to be a French contraction of leger and cegedur.
    The Simplex lever on the frame is plated brass,to help with the dating.Called Le Simplex.
