I was thinking about posting a similar response (but not exactly!) to that stuff about pinning frames... Many, many frame builders, big and small, have used pins in their frames. Generally this is not any indicator of quality, crappy frames can have pins wonderful frames can have none, and"Versa Vica!" It just depends upon their frame assembly technique, design of jigs used, etc.
