That "white" Pogliaghi is exactly like the one that I bought in '92 or '93. Exactly like mine. The color is actually a creme-de-menthe sort of white; a couple of drops of green in a little bottle of white will make a very accurate touch-up paint.

Although Rossin is a possibility, these frames were probably made by Basso. The contemporary Basso gap looked to be of identical construction. Ted Prahl, owner of "The Tread Mill" in New York had some Pogliaghis in the early to mid '90s. He told me that they were made by Basso, as I recall. Maybe Basso and Rossin are one in the same?

The lower head lug on my frame was off-center a few degrees, though the bike tracked straight.... It was a good rider, the double tapered seat stays may have contributed to a compliant though responsive feel.

The top tube sloped upward ever so slightly on my frame, which was 53cm center to top of lug, and the head tube on this bike appears to be about the same length, so the size is probably listed correctly. If anyone is considering this frame, ask the seller to read the size stamp on the bottom bracket shell.

>>>>Both Pogliaghis now on ebay look like 80s frames to me. I'd have to examine the black one more closely to make a bet on it, but the white one was definitely made years after the sale of the marque.<<<<

While the black Pog might be mid 80's, the white one is from the late 80's, maybe even 90. I remember seeing these hanging next to the Rossins in a local shop, and even think that these were the last Pogs I recall ever being offered. Did Rossin produce frames with the Pogliaghi name later that about 1990 or so? Having owned a beautiful, dark green (but unfortunately too small for me) mid-70's Pog, these were kind-of disappointing. However, at the right price, these would certainly make decent, if somewhat less "collectable" riders. I do question the size of the white one. The seller claims 20" c-c, but it looks a little bigger than that to me.
