My chrome '64 Frejus project has two strips of old red reflective tape running down the seat stays. In my initial attempts to remove it I was carefully scraping the brittle and well adhered tape with an X-acto knife, but I quit doing that after a close examination revealed I was making very fine scratches in the chrome.
Does anyone have a tip or trick that would work to get this stuff of without damaging the chrome?
