Brandon and others, I have about 2k miles on a set of D' Allessandro Speciales mounted on Araya Red Label rims.

They mounted straight, haven't flatted, are wearing well. I weigh 170 and ride hard. The Speciales provide a reasonably comfortable ride. They're a good basic tire for putting on miles -- not Conti Comps, but not priced that way either. Also, the base tape is still attached. Can't always say that about the cheapie Hutchenson tubbies.

I got mine from my LBS for $18US/ea. I believe that the auction source wants $7-8 shipping for a set of two. So, for the same price you could support your LBS.
