Many posted aboput removing freewheels from un-spoked hubs.

This is a careful operation I've performed many dozen times. I guarantee a working and untwisted hub and charge a fair amount that allows a bit to trickle into the insurance fund for that one day when I'll mess up a hub. For a little more, I can also insure against freewheel damage.

High flange hubs are less involved than 'piccolo', as the fixtures and jigs we use are less complicated . Caution: be careful about 'putting in a few spokes' as one well-meaning listee pointed out. Unless these are on the drive side, you may get an interesting hub with a 'twist'

We have an interesting Nuovo hub enjoying an interesting lifr as an executive peperweight. Thr 'Campagnolo Record' has a great spiral orientation and the flanges are a couple of mm closer than stock.
