Hi all, I better tell my story before I get involved in this list, Some of you already know it, I've seen some names that I have seen before, and some esp from eBay, that have outbid me, you know who you all are.
My name is Wayne Davidson and I live at the bottom of a little country called New Zealand. I am a 39 yr old diesel/petrol mechanic, mainly working on diesel trucks, forklifts and other heavy equipment. I own currently a Klein quantum (1990) and a Rigi road bike, ridable but still being completed ( Dale may have the pics up on the website by now).
I am working on a NZ made Bossomworth at the moment, was to be a small job, but has ended up being a little bigger than I thought, esp as they are not made anymore. Its about '73, all the Campagnolo NR dates are for '73. But the headset is a 90's alloy campagnolo, as are the HP rims, but they can be replaced no problem, a sort of local bike shop I went to recently has rims, and rims and rims, a lot of italian rims, a lot of track stuff, but I don't do track, I am talking tubular ones.
I also deal/trade/sell/buy in bike parts, mainly italian, a lot of campagnolo, a lot of small parts, mainly pre index, can I use that horrible word here, don't worry none of mine have that, and never will, I will sell it, have a couple of bits, if you are after SHIMANO, don't try me, it goes in the rubbish can at work, Unless it is real mint and I could sell it to some person.
I did like Suntour in my early days. I have always worked on my own bikes, I have gathered a tool or two over the years, I am single, but I don't do wheels, I have an old cyclist from years ago build them, takes a week or three or four, but we get there and he is so fussy it ain't funny.
I have owned, and not in order, a older Carlton that I converted from 5 to 10 speed, It was my first lightweight multispeed, a Japanese Shogun, an Alan, an Alan sprint, and now a Klein and the Rigi, would love an 70's 80's Cinelli super corsa as a dreambike.
Well I better sign off before you all fall asleep......regards wayne......
