I't may not be vintage, but it sure is a classic: I have a Flymo (sort of a cross between a lawnmower and a hovercraft; no wheels!) which you can have. Sorry, it doesn't run and is missing its petrol tank. I can't think of a better device for use in SoCal, although the CPSC would send their troop to your casa if they got wind of it.....
