Funny someone should mention Roto.....I just picked up a few Roto components and was curious about them myself. I have a front deraileur, a rear deraileur and hub set (with qr's). The design of the deraileurs suggests they are from the early 80's. The rear looks similar to a Campy 980 in some respects while the front has quite a modern looking cage. All the parts are aluminum - very few steel parts and the quality is not too bad - not quite as polished as a Campy 980, for instance. The hubs are the scary part. They look as if they were made from cast aluminum as opposed to forged - they are kind of lumpy and I'm kind of leary about building them into a wheel set. I'll try to take a few pictures and post them on the net in the next week.

My questions are: What was their time period? Obviously, Roto is still in business (see Aldo's post), but when were they making Campy copies? How common were these parts? Were they ever spec'd as oem parts? Many thanks in advance, Byron Morton Nashville, TN
