I have a set of these calipers. They do, in fact, look very aerodynamic. They have very strange oval-shaped blocks. The pads themselves are grey in color and seem very hard. I can't imaging finding replacement pads. They are marked with a stylized "A" and block letter "GC". The most interesting feature are black plastic, knurled knobs, with an off-center allen screw. Apparently you loosen the screw and turn the knob to adjust the reach. There appears to be very little adjustment. I was told that they were used on time trial bikes. http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/bikehunt_2000/lst?&.dir=/BIKES+AND+PARTS&.src=ph&.view=t

I've never tried to send Yahoo photos to the list so I hope it works and that you don't have to come up with passwords or secret handshakes to view the album.

Can anyone offer more info on these crazy (and, to my eye, quite elegant) looking brakes.
