Subject: [CR]Surely someone, somewhere has a Bertin...

Unfortunately, I didn't get a single reply from a Bertin owner to my post asking to make contact with anyone with an old Bertin.

These were sold through Ron Kitching in the UK and through several dealers in America. It's hard to believe that not one person amongst the hundreds of CR members has what is surely one of the more common French bikes.

I've been trying for a while now to identify this mystery frame of mine and all I need is a wee bit of help. I help out people, usually off-list, wherever I can by sending them pages from by Brown Brothers CDs or scanning pages from catalogues-sometimes whole catalogues-for them. I enjoy doing it: it helps pass on information and adds to the knowledge bank. Any chance of a bit of reciprocation?

More in hope than expectation, Bruce

P.S. Thanks to James Narlesky who, although not a Bertin owner, was kind enough to pass on his recollections of the marque. He's also a British bike fan-sensible lad!
