Hi everyone. My name is Jonathan Russell. I live in Atlanta Georgia. I just started cycling again after being away for 10 years. I started out riding early 80's Treks. Presently, I ride a Lemond Zurich and am building up a 1978 Raleigh Professional Carlton. I have been reading from the list for a few weeks and have enjoyed listening in on all of the interesting topics.
I have two questions.
1) What wheels would a late 70s Raleigh Pro have been fitted with? What size...700cc x ?? or 27 x 1.5? Clinchers or tubular? What brand rims? I plan to use NR/SR low hubs.
2) When shoping for NR/SR hubs, sometimes I see Lo-Hi rear hubs. Why were these used? Are they a good thing?
