Quick question (and apologies if this covers old ground) - how to polish those nasty zig-zag insertion marks out of alloy bars? I have a set of Cinelli Campione del monde bars which at one point were forced onto a stem which had the wrong size opening - also someone wrenched on a pair of brake levers which also appear to have been wrongly sized. I am not so concerned about those marks as they will be hidden by tape - however, the zig-zags up by the logos look a little unsightly. I am a little wary about using a mechanical device on soft alloy. Any tips and tricks?
By the way, there is a nice little piece on Sheldon in September's Bicycling mag.!
