FWIW, I'm running a 113mm Stronglight spindle with a mod. 93 crankset that has been slightly modified for fixed-gear use. Basically, I took a set that had someone's SSN engraved on the backs of the arms and filed off the shelf the inner chainring fits on. The outer ring ledge, with a 42T ring, lines up perfectly for me this way ...

I wanna say the usual spindle length for a Stronglight double in English and French bikes is a 118mm, and the triple was 123mm .... assuming 120 - 126mm rear spacing ... those of you who know better, be gentle as you correct me!
