Jan,

You are correct, it would have been MUCH more fun for everyone to have gathered at Chucks. Everything came up much too late to make plans to rendezvous up there. We weren't even planning on riding down here until Sat. afternoon. Had I known you guys were comming down I would have began thinking of hooking up in Pasadena and bringing Pergolizzi along to add a little spice to the fruitcake. There were several other outside circumstances that complicated the orginizing of a trip north for most of us. Fate alone (well maybe a little help from Pergolozzis' ants) brought us together at the last minute.

I'm going to begin collecting the quote of the day from out meetings, beginning with this one. Who is making the quotes will always be left unknown.

Q: So have you been riding much?

A: (Quote of the day) " Oh, I've been getting plenty of exercise; now if only a strong tongue would help my cycling."

Correction for Chuck. The gentleman from Edwards AFB is J.D. Edwards, not J.D. Miller. He is good buddies with the World Famous LOU DEETER (a good friend of mine since Le Cirque 2000).

I'm sorry we missed an opportunity to bring together the whole family. Had I known you guys were comming down last week we probably would have tripped up there. The only down side to that is that some of the people from down here would not have been able to go. Sometimes life is too complicated. Better planning next time.
