I've quit my job in Ohio so I have more time to ride my bicycles and play with the restoration (or at least minor rehabilitations) of the older bikes I have. My new job is much less stressful and less time-comsumming, with something that resembles normal hours. So the question is: Are there fellow list members in the Indianapolis area, and, are there any 'real' bike shops?? So far I have only found the 'bicycle boutiques', with the latest, greatest, AL,Ti,Carbon, etc. abominations, one 'Bikes-R-Us' mega-store ("How do we do it?...VOLUME"), and nothing resembling the elegant ridable art we all love. I am still less than 2 hours to International Pro in Bellbrook, OH, where they understand the concept. But still that is a ways to go. So if you know, fill me in. Hope to see you all at the Cirque. By the way, I may be in position to aquire a track bike by then. I'd like to have one with a front brake (heresay?) for tooling around on the trail and quiet streets. So if you have something that won't cost me both an arm AND a leg, and is in reasonable shape, let me know. I am willing to get one that needs TLC, so long as parts can still be found.
