Subject: [CR]Touch Up Paint Chuckles...

Someone on this list mentioned recently that TREK was a good source for touch up paint so I visited the well established, modern, trendy TREK dealer the other day inquiring about touch up paint for one of their frames I'm working on. They said they were not licensed to carry paint and didn't have a drop of any kind in the whole store. And furthermore, I wouldn't find any paint in ANY bike shop anywhere. I mused that hobby shops and cosmetic counters seem to have no trouble selling the stuff...

I just returned from the drug store where I scored another perfect match of finger nail polish to touch up this frame. I don't know what color TREK called it. I've heard the color referred to as "Rootbeer". That sounds better than "Metallic Brown" which is a closer description of the color. Anyway, Revlon came through and I chuckled as I read the name of the color on the cap...."MUDSLIDE"... Did I mention this is a mountain bike? Coincidence? I think not!! The universe is unfolding exactly as it should... You GO girls!!!
