Actually the Masi Volumetrica 3V (thin-wall oversize straight gauge tubing with internal fitting investment cast lugs) is on topic as it came out in the early-mid 1980s. I have one of the early ones made in Italy. Word on the street was that they were stiff/harsh and heavy. Mine (56 cm) with a 50th Anniversary group and sew-ups is slightly under 19 pounds and the way I would describe the ride quality is that it feels like the best Columbus SL tubed bike ever.
