It's a shame about the damage you discovered.
I'll leave it to the framebuilders to offer advice on repairs, or if it's
really necessary to do anything.
The only comment I'd make is that I wouldn't depend on the fitment of a
Raleigh's headbadge as a judge of anything lest a lot of people go look at
their bikes and think something's wrong with it. I think it must have been
the new guys doing that job.
