Hello, I am not a Raleigh expert but have a Raleigh professional old-style (Victor Brampton seat stays) and a team professional (perhaps 1983). The Raleigh professional looks attractive on the surface but underneath the workmanship is less than excellent. There is no mitering in the bottom bracket. The Raleigh team professional is 753 Reynolds and the workmanship is outstanding throughout. The team professional was apparently purchased in Germany in 1985. It came as a frameset only. I may be a bit heavy for the team professional (both frames are 62 cm and I weigh just under 200 pounds)-it feels a bit mushy. My maligned professional, on the other hand, feels very good. Hope this helps. Tom Witkop Rockville, Maryland
