Subject: [CR]Crank Length Question

I've recently acquired a set of 175mm NR Cranks and am looking for a reason to keep them in spite of a recent promise to myself to thin out the "stash". I currently ride a 56cm and am 5'9" 175lbs. By mere coincidence all of my bicycles have 170mm cranks and they suit me fine but I do have several rides and am wondering if it would be a good idea to set one of them up with the 175's. The most obvious of reasons to use a 5mm longer crank that I can see is the incremental leverage advantage they afford but I know the knowledge on this issue is a much deeper pool of good stuff. I'm at the early stages of my research into this issue and I've read many compelling answers to other questions that have posted here so if you are inclined, chime away or contact me off list.
