HIGGINS ULTRALITE 23 1/2in (ctt) FRAME 22 1/2 in (ctc) fine bronze welded (fillet brazed). Nervex fork crown, Campag ends but no gear hanger. Frame number A28 indicates that it dates from January 1965. Needs repaint; transfers are available. Fred Higgins set up his frame building business in 1935 and was best known for his trikes and trike axles. Unlike many framebuilders he had an engineering background and unusually he built jigs for every part of the frame building operation. This was one of the last frames to be made by Higgins. Lovely brass head badge. I can arrange for frame enamelling at any one of three British frame enamellers for the buyer. $185

PETIT BRETON (French) 21 1/2in (ctt) FRAME 21in (ctc) Single point head and seat lugs, Nervex fork crown. Probably a touring frame with mountings for a mini-rack on the front forks, dynamo mount on rear stays, dynamo wire clips on down tube and driilings for rear rack mount in fork ends. Rear stays are 17 1/2in long (ctc). This frame has been repainted in a dark flam green and crude copies of the original transfers have been applied. However very good drawings of the original transfers were made and these will be included with the frame so that repro transfers can be made. $125
