Hello All, I remember going to Cupertino Bike Shop a number of years ago and seeing a very cool diecast, aprox 1/24 scale model of a light blue (Bianchi Blue) Alfa Romeo Duetto with racks and bikes on the trunk, it was leading a group of 60s vintage diecast and hand painted cyclists. What ever happened to it?? Then again, there was that photo of Coppi talking with Cinelli at the Milan Trade Show. The original B&W was thumb tacked to the wall. Back to toys, recently I purchased a group of authentic looking plastic cyclists new in the package, I found them at a model train show, aprox 1/24 scale. I did find a 1/43 scale Alfa Romeo Duetto Giro d Italia Support vehicle with plastic bikes on the roof. The luckiest find was a complete peloton of 60s and 70s teams with support vehicles, motorcycles, feed zones-waterbottle exchanges with Molteni, Bianchi, TI Raliegh and Peugeot. This was a TdF stage in miniature! I discovered these at a Toy Collectors Fair. The very lonely Frenchman who was selling them had no sales---how can a guy like that compete against HOT WHEELS!!! So I bought what I could afford and havent regretted it. Best Wishes, Dave Martinez Fremont Ca
